Whitley Gilbert is a witch. Well, Jasmine Guy‘s “A Different World” character was probably accused of being a witch on many occasions, but the actress will now play one for real. The CW confirms that Guy has been cast in “The Vampire Diaries” as the grandmother of Bonnie (Katerina Graham), who turns out to be a descendant of a whole line of warted ladies. Sort of cool, no? Though we’re not sure Jasmine Guy, at 47, is really old enough to play the grammy of a teenage girl, we’re definitely glad she’s returning to TV. It’s been too long, Ms. Gilbert.
